Hey there! I’m Veronica Minnear, and I’ve been lucky enough to be married to my better half, Woody, for 13 amazing years. Together, we have two fantastic daughters, Kyleigh, who’s 18, and Maddi, who’s 14.
Before Woody introduced me to the joys of farming and raising cattle, I was clueless! My first true love for cows blossomed with our first bottle calf, Tito. Yes, Tito is still with us and loves being spoiled with attention.
Over the years, we’ve raised several bottle calves, and while they’re a lot of work, those sweet moments with them are priceless. By day, I’m a hairdresser, and by evening, I’m brushing our cows (okay, maybe there’s a bit more to it than just that, lol!).
And then there’s my friend, Kristie Burton.
She’s a full-time wife and supermom to five—yes, FIVE—boys. Growing up, she was always around horses and cows, thanks to her grandparents' dairy farm.
Her childhood was filled with riding horses and farm life. Even though life got busy with college and everything, she never lost her respect for animals and farming.
As life started to “slow” down for Kristie and her husband, Eric, he bought a few momma cows. Watching them rekindled her appreciation for her childhood.
She’s super grateful to her parents for keeping her busy with rodeo and cow showing, which probably kept her out of trouble, too!
A few months ago, Kristie and I decided to dive into a new adventure together: we became partners in buying a Highland cow. Along with our supportive husbands, Eric and Woody, we jumped into this exciting new chapter.
We called up some contacts, made some deals, and soon, our first two girls, Till-ie and Lott-ie, came home to Mood-ie Heifer Cattle Company. Dott-ie joined shortly after. We absolutely love watching them graze and learning about their unique personalities. We’re thrilled to be on this journey together, hoping to carry on traditions, get the kids involved, and make tons of new friends and memories along the way.
Cheers to new adventures!
